Sunshine

Just in case you were in need of a little sunshine today I thought these pictures of Charlotte in her fun yellow outfit might help! We went to a Kids Fashion Show this morning and Charlotte was super excited (see the picture from Twitter on the sidebar!). :) She slept through the whole thing which was nice because it meant that we got to enjoy it. And I PROMISE that I didn't match myself to Charlotte's outfit on purpose. I didn't even realize that I had done it until I was in the car on the way over and then it was too late to change. But I thought the picture was cute so I included it. Don't harass me too much please! :)

Things are going really well with us. Charlotte is so animated these days and it is so much fun! I can't even imagine how much fun it will be when she's toddling around talking to us! She loves her activity gym these days -- especially the sun that sings to her and changes colors. She just looks at it mesmerized and bats at all of the objects on it. It is so fun to watch! Sometimes we feel like she is really close to rolling over. She will lift the bottom half of her body up off of the ground and fling her hips around.... but she's still not there. She is sleep so well also! (Of course, I'm sure I've just jinxed myself! Let me find some wood to knock on really quickly!) The past week she's slept through the night (11 pm until 5-6 am) most nights and when she hasn't slept all the way through she's gotten close (getting up around 4:30). Jason and I are hoping that this is a new trend. If it is, I will recommend Babywise to every soon-to-be mother I meet! The only thing that has disappointed me is that everyone told me that the first night she slept through I would wake up and feel like a brand new person. Except, I still feel tired?? Is that normal?? :)

She's about to wake up from her nap so I better go. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Adrienne

I have been reading Adrienne's blog ever since I got into blog world and her story has captivated me. She and her husband have struggled to have children and have had multiple miscarriages, the last one as recent as January. They adopted a beautiful little boy, Owen, from Russia, and in the past year have had multiple miscarriages and now two failed local adoptions. Through it all Adrienne has kept her faith that God is moving them in His will and has been such an inspiration to me. Today Adrienne announced that they will be adopting a little girl from South Korea!

As I'm sure you can imagine, domestic adoptions are expensive and international adoptions are even more so. So Adrienne and Jim are trying to raise money so that they can bring their little girl home. Adrienne will be hosting a big giveaway with some great prizes like a Canon Rebel and Wii soon and I will let you know when that is in case you want to enter to win. She is also hosting a gold party at her home in Tennessee next weekend in case you want to help her out there. You could send her any gold that you have and either let her keep the profits or have her send the profits back to you. The gemologist will be giving them a percentage of what's collected that night so even if you just sent her the gold and had her send all of the profits back to you you would still be helping.

But I mostly wanted to let you know about the discount you will get at AllyZabba that will help Adrienne and Jim. They have beautiful blankets and if you use the coupon code "lily" you will receive 10% off of your order. The best part is that AllyZabba will donate 30% of your order to Adrienne and Jim's fund!

I just wanted to let you know about this incredible family so that you can pray for them and for their little girl waiting in an orphanage in South Korea.

Doodle Bugs Paper - Online Show - July 5 - 19

I've talked about Doodle Bugs Paper before and how much I love it! They have the cutest stationary, stickers, notepads, and more. I can always find a handful of items that I'm just dying to get every time I go and check out the website. Today, I have the pleasure of hosting an online show for Doodle Bugs. I'm going to feature some of my favorite products that Doodle Bugs offers and you can go and check them out. If you decide to buy from Doodle Bugs between today and July 19th just enter the coupon code "jenniferelwell" when you check out so that Kacey at Doodle Bugs will know that you came from my show.

One of my favorite things about Doodle Bugs is that you can customize just about anything. All products are personalized with your chosen wording and font and sometimes color. So this means that you can turn anything into a gift for a specific person or customize something for a specific use! Kacey is great about taking your requests in your order and making fantastic products that are just what you wanted!

And now....my favorite products!

Doodle Bugs offers a wide variety of stickers. They have waterproof stickers which are great for putting on bottles, sippy cups, casserole dishes -- basically anything that you're going to wash over and over again but want it identified as belonging to you. There are also regular stickers that you can use for many different purposes. I love using them on gifts and when I was little I had book label stickers and I loved labeling my books! Doodle Bugs also has return address stickers! All of these stickers come in a variety of designs and sizes so go and check them out!

I love the gifts and fun products that Doodle Bugs offers! The personalized coasters are so cute and affordable. They would be perfect if you were hosting a wedding shower or just wanted to jazz up your tables at home! There are multiple designs on moving cards -- from fun to traditional! What a cute way to give everyone your new information! Doodle Bugs also offers a variety of bag tags. Charlotte has one on her bags and I'm about to order some for our luggage! They are very durable and can say whatever you want! And I'm in love with the new personalized recipe cards that Kacey offers! I have some of the ones shown below and I'm dying to start handing out recipe's on them!

I can't wait for Charlotte's first birthday so I can order some of these cute thank you notes for her. There are multiple designs for both girls and boys!

And then there are the notecards. Folded notes and flat notes and notepads... in so many designs that you might have to order a handful of sets of cards just to get a few of the designs that you love! There are designs for kids, for couples, for men, for women, for brides (what a great engagement gift!), for pregnant ladies, .... anyone you can think of! These make great gifts for your friends or for yourself!

Make sure you go and check out Doodle Bugs Paper between now and July 19th to see all of the adorable, personalized products that they offer! And don't forget to enter code "jenniferelwell" when you check out!

Fourth of July!

Today Jason and Tripp played golf and Kelly, Caroline, Charlotte, and I met them at the pool. Memma, Papa G, and Charlie were there also which was fun. We enjoyed a great lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs and then had fun watching Caroline splash around the pool. Charlotte was only out at the pool (and in the shade the whole time!) for a short time but this is how we found her during her nap after her first pool experience. I think she enjoyed it but she was exhausted when we got home!

Week Six

Time has sure flown to get Charlotte to the six week mark! Here is her week one Bear picture and her week six Bear picture. I think she's grown a lot! :)
